Modernization of Environmental Assessments for Municipal Infrastructure

On February 16th the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) proposed to revoke the Municipal Class EA (MCEA) and make a streamlined EA regulation for municipal infrastructure for higher-risk projects. The new regulation would help deliver critical public works to support housing infrastructure for Ontario’s rapidly growing population.
