Tender Alert – Town of Newmarket

The Town of Newmarket has begun issuing Non-Binding Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) for their infrastructure projects. The GTSWCA views the approach as a move away from standard tendering practices for public projects in Ontario. They are seeking to employ maximum flexibility in their selection of a contractor for their infrastructure projects while eliminating any advantage a contractor may gain as a result of using RFP, due to the non-reporting of bid results after close.
