Notice of Study Commencement – Town of Stouffville Stormwater Management Master Plan

The Town of Stouffville is creating a Stormwater Management Master Plan to develop a preferred strategy for the effective management of stormwater. The Master Plan will help identify and prioritize areas of concern and create a plan for cost-effective and environmentally sustainable solutions.

The aim of this plan is to address infrastructure issues in the context of climate change and future development. The plan will establish stormwater management policy and guidelines, identify and prioritize identified works, and form part of the overall asset management program.

When complete, the plan will have identified constraints and opportunities related to managing the Town’s stormwater system and drainage networks. The plan will act as a decision-making guide for prioritizing projects, estimating and addressing future needs of our environment and growing community, and budgeting.

The Town encourages the public and interested parties to actively participate in the planning process. The Town will look for your feedback throughout the project, both in-person and online.
